A Jersey City police officer has admitted to driving while drunk.
Carlos Melendez hit two parked cars while under the influence in April.
He was almost twice over the legal limit. 
In addition to suspending his license, a judge ordered he pay $689 fine.
Melendez also has to spend 12 hours at an Intoxicated Driver Resource Center.
