A man accused of robbing a person in the Walmart parking lot in Lumberton is facing multiple charges after an hours-long barricaded standoff inside an RV.
Officials responded to the Walmart on Route 38 around 11 p.m. Monday after a reported dispute between two people escalated into a robbery.
During the investigation, 38-year-old Blake Reed, of Florida, allegedly entered a recreational vehicle and refused repeated commands to come out or speak with officers.
Police also received information that Reed may have been armed with a flamethrower and other weapons inside the RV.
The standoff ended peacefully Tuesday afternoon when the New Jersey State Police TEAMS Unit took Reed into custody.
Reed is charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, certain persons not to possess a weapon and obstruction.
