A 58-year-old Jackson man could spend the next five years in prison for breaking into homes and stealing thousands of dollars of property.

An Ocean County jury found Troy Jones guilty of an apartment theft back in December 2021 at The Gardens at Jackson.

Police say the tenants reported $4,500 in cash and an Apple Watch were missing.

Jones was employed by the apartment complex as a maintenance worker and used a master key to access the apartment.

His sentencing is scheduled for May 21.
