Another closure for Hoboken PATH riders, this time for 5 days and over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will be closing the Hoboken PATH station from 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, through 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
During this time, urgent repairs will be made to the track and interlocking system that enables PATH trains to switch tracks and access different platforms within the station. During this closure, the Port Authority has coordinated with NJ TRANSIT, NY Waterway, and other transportation partners to provide alternative transportation options for commuters and PATH customers.
Options include reduced fare ferries, cross honoring on the Light Rail and certain NJ Transit trains, and free shuttle bus service between Hoboken and Newport and Exchange Place.
Earlier this year, Hoboken PATH station closed for 25 days for upgrades, only to have issues this summer that need to be fixed this long weekend.
