A bittersweet farewell in Montvale today as Depiero's closes its doors after more than 100 years.

The beloved Bergen County staple has been family-run since 1924.

The owners say rising costs led to the decision.

Ten years ago, the family sold most of its land, which is now a Wegmans.

Locals can stop by one last time until 5 p.m.
