New Jersey Transit is making it easier for riders to find historic sites across New Jersey that helped shape the nation.
The agency announced a new campaign called “Jersey Journeys – Every Stop Tells a Story.”
The effort includes an interactive online map that showcases more than 150 historic sites and landmarks across New Jersey that are easily accessible by NJ Transit bus, rail or Light Rail.
"Our residents have an opportunity to not only understand history and New Jersey's role in it, but to understand why it is important to be grounded in it. Especially in times that sometimes feel more challenging than normal,” said Kris Kolluri, NJ Transit president and CEO.
From Revolutionary War battlefields and colonial homes to cultural museums and monuments, the Jersey Journeys map makes it easy to explore the Garden State’s contributions to American history.
