Labor Day is fast approaching, and that means holiday travel is about to pick up across New Jersey.
This morning is a great time to hit the road if you're looking to beat the crowds, according to AAA.
The association says the best time to travel today is before 1 p.m., while the stretch from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. will be the worst for drivers.
For Friday, AAA recommends leaving before noon.
New York City is listed as one of the top domestic destinations for the holiday, so expect volume to ramp up on the turnpike.
