The question of if “Central Jersey” exists has been a long debate in the Garden State.
Gov. Phil Murphy wants to let residents know that the question is settled. “Central Jersey is the real deal,” the governor wrote on Twitter.
Murphy answered a text message question from a Cranford resident named Mel who wanted to see a map of what is considered “Central Jersey.” The governor directed Mel to the website
nj.gov/centralnj, which shows the official map.
The governor also weighed in on the Taylor Ham/Pork Roll debate and declared he called it “Taylor Pork” – to play on both sides.
Murphy urged New Jersey residents to text their questions to him at 732-602-5455.
