Loew's Jersey Theatre in Jersey City is getting a brand-new restoration.
Located in the heart of Journal Square, the theater opened in 1929 but has been closed to regular use for more than 40 years.
The theater is currently undergoing a $130 million renovation funded by the city, the state and Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment.
Theater upgrades are scheduled to be finished by the fall of 2026.
