Community-based vaccine
centers are getting ready to open tomorrow in neighborhoods disproportionately
affected by the coronavirus.
One of the sites will be at a church is Somerset.
Gov. Phil Murphy says it is among the state’s “highest priorities” to ensure
equal access to appointments and vaccines.
“We are grateful for this unique partnership between our state agencies,
federal government and faith and local leaders as we begin this new phase in
our vaccination effort to provide New Jerseyans with access to vaccines,” Murphy
says.
Each site will be able to vaccinate approximately 1,500 people a week.
Vaccinations at each location will take place over a two-week period, followed
by a return to administer second doses.
