A few fronts slipped by New Jersey very unassumingly. Usually, a frontal passage accompanies a few showers. This time around, it was a dip in temperatures that signified the changing of air masses.
Temperatures today were very pleasant but were 5 to 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. Mid- to upper 70s to low 80s were common under a very blue sky.
We can cut and paste the forecast through Thursday. A few really delightful days are ahead of us. Clouds will collect Thursday evening and there is a small chance that a few showers could develop into Friday morning.
The sun is back out through the Labor Day holiday weekend. Normal temperatures for the afternoon this time of year are 83 degrees. Most of the state will average slightly below that, but nothing really to complain about. Sunny and upper 70s is near-perfect.
