Lightweight World Champion boxer Shakur Stevenson visited the Boys & Girls Club in his hometown of Newark ahead of his title defense.
Stevenson spent time with the kids at the club and talked about his time growing up in Newark.
"I love talking to the kids that come up in the same environment that I came up in. I just wanna motivate them, give them hope and let them know that it's possible,” Stevenson says. "It's just amazing to be able to show them that somebody that come from the exact same environment, can lead the way and become something and I just want to let them know that they can become something."
