At least six people were evacuated from an apartment building in Hasbrouck Heights due to structural damage caused by a car that slammed into the building.
The crash occurred at the Grandview Gardens Apartments around 10:30 a.m., according to officials. The building was evacuated due to concerns of a possible collapse.
Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department Chief Mike Greco says officials contacted Red Cross so that displaced residents have a temporary place to stay.
Greco also said a professional shoring company is on the way to examine and fix the damage.
