Starting today, the commute around the Route 71 drawbridge in Monmouth County will be a little easier thanks to a free shuttle bus service.

The DOT is providing the shuttles for commuters traveling between Belmar and Avon-by-the-Sea while emergency repairs are underway.

Service will run 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. until the work is completed.
