An Atlantic City councilman was charged with multiple counts of fraud, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Authorities say Hossain Morshed submitted false voter registrations, made false statements and illegally claimed unemployment benefits from 2019 to 2021.
Morshed faces up to 30 years in prison and thousands in fines if convicted.
