An Atlantic City man was sentenced to 13 years in prison for selling drugs to a pair of tourists from the United Kingdom who overdosed and died in a Bally's Hotel room in 2020.

Prosecutors say 27-year-old Tyrell Gist sold heroin and fentanyl to the tourists.

Bally's staff found the victims inside their hotel room and helped police identify Gist as the suspected drug dealer.

Authorities say they found him with 12 grams of cocaine and a large stash of cash.
