A 28-year-old East Brunswick woman died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday morning on Route 18, police said.
Michelle F. Chitacapa was struck at the intersection of Route 18 and Racetrack Road, according to the East Brunswick Police Department.
Officers responded around 5:10 a.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting the crash.
Chitacapa was taken to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and was not injured.
