FORECAST:
After a seasonably cool start in the morning, temperatures will warm up in the afternoon. Highs will climb to near 70 degrees with light winds on Thursday. These milder conditions only stick around briefly because a cold front passes through early Friday, which drops the temperatures.
The cold front passes through our area dry on Friday. The rain that's now associated with it, will apart and dry up before reaching us. There could even be a sprinkle or two northwest, but that is it. Rain has been really hard to come by and this trend seems to hold into early next week.
Halloween this weekend will be seasonable and dry. High temperatures will be in the lower 60s, with 40s at night.
As of today, there have been 11 days (including today) of no rain. This dry stretch is likely to continue, assuming a drop of rain doesn't fall over the weather station in Newark with the passing front early Friday morning. The weather pattern will start to change later next week. Rain chances are looking slim early in the week now, but there is a better chance at seeing widespread rain by Thursday and Friday.
