A major blizzard dropped more than two feet of snow on parts of New Jersey.

New Jersey residents across the state pitched in to lend their neighbors a hand with the cleanup.

Seaside Heights Police Lt. Richard Roemmele went out to shovel stoops and sidewalks around the town. And he wasn’t alone.

Hopewell resident Sue told News 12 that her neighbor routinely uses his snowblower to clear the blocks around his house. She says he is the unofficial mayor of Hopewell.

Linda says she has mobility issues. Her neighbors in Perth Amboy made sure she was able to get out of her home.

Joanie, of Freehold, works at Centra State Medical Center. She says when her shift was over at the hospital, her coworkers had already dug her snow-covered car out.

And in Toms River, Teresa credits her husband with helping out. She says he was out early Monday morning to make sure the neighbor’s driveways were clear. She says he even did a driveway for someone he didn't even know.
