Driving around Morris County is expected to get easier starting Friday night.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation was expected to reopen two westbound lanes on Interstate 80 by 10 p.m. Friday - weather permitting.
Drone 12 was over I-80 in Wharton on Thursday, looking at the two reopened eastbound lanes and the progress on the two westbound lanes.
Sinkhole repair work in the median will continue, so this is still an active work zone. Drivers should slow down and go 45 mph in this area.
All lanes are expected to reopen on June 25.
