Salem County prosecutors say a 13-year-old was fatally shot in front of a residence in Salem on Thursday.

It happened on Ninth Street shortly before 10:30 p.m.

The teenager was unresponsive when police responded to the scene and was later pronounced dead at the Salem Medical Center, according to prosecutors.

No arrests have been made.
