A 32-year-old man who fatally shot another man in the head three years ago will now spend 30 years in state prison, according to prosecutors.
Officials say Kwacey Owens, of Willingboro, was found guilty of killing Barry Barino who was described as an acquaintance.
Barino, 28, spent a short time at Owens’ home in the township’s Millbrook Park neighborhood in 2020 before being lured outside, according to prosecutors. They say Owens then shot Barino in the head.
Officials say the weapon used in the shooting was later recovered in a separate residence where Owens was staying at the time.
Owens was found guilty of murder and possession of a weapon. Prosecutors say he must spend the entire 30 years in prison before becoming eligible for parole.
