Police in Westfield may be a little closer to finding out who is sending disturbing letters to a Westfield family.
According to a report in The Westfield Leader, the handwritten letters contain female DNA and are postmarked from Kearny.
The investigation started after a family bought a $1.3 million home on the Boulevard in Westfield. Soon after closing on the home, they began receiving creepy and threatening letters from someone calling themselves "The Watcher."
The family has refused to move into the home as a result, and they are suing the former homeowners for not warning them about the letters.
Westfield police say they have possible leads as to who is sending the letters, but have not identified a suspect.
