The Wall PBA is making New Jersey proud through their effort to help raise money for veterans.
The effort started with Wall Police Officer Mike Malone, who struck up a friendship with World War II veteran General Harry  in 2012. Malone started an effort to get a statue in Rockafeller’s honor built in wall.
The PBA and the community raised $217,000 – enough for the statue, with plenty left over.
The PBA will now donate $50,000 to five veteran’s charities. The groups are the Gary Sanise Soaring Valor Program, the Patton Veterans Project, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, the Best Defense Foundation and the Paws 4 Vets Organization. Each group will get $10,000.
