A wake was held Thursday for the Jersey City officer who succumbed to injuries sustained in a shootout last week.
Detective Marc DiNardo died Tuesday after clinging to life for days in a hospital. DiNardo was among five officers wounded in a shootout that also killed the two suspects.
Officers from several municipalities turned out to mourn their fallen comrade. DiNardo, a 10-year veteran of the force, leaves behind a wife and three small children.
