An SUV slammed into the rear of a home in South Brunswick this morning.

A 911 call was made around 9 a.m. The house is located along Kory Drive.

News 12 was told by South Brunswick police that two people were injured.

There was a serious concern initially because the incident immediately caused a gas leak. Nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution.

PSE&G was alerted and had the gas turned off within 14 minutes of getting that call.

The Brunswick Acres Elementary School is behind the home. It’s believed the car likely traveled from that parking lot.

South Brunswick police are investigating what exactly happened with the driver.

Classes at the school were not interrupted.

People have been allowed back into their homes.
