Police say two Newark 16-year-olds are in custody for stealing a 2017 Hyundai Elantra on Saturday .

Summit police say the two teens stole the car from the area of Waldron and Springfield avenues on Saturday morning.

While trying to flee from police, one of the suspects lost control of the vehicle and crashed. They then fled on foot but were eventually captured.
