97-year-old driver killed in 2-vehicle crash in Brick
Police say a Hyundai crossed the painted center median on Drum Point Road and collided with an oncoming Cadillac Escalade.

A 97-year-old driver was killed, and another driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday evening in Brick, according to police.
The crash happened around 7:15 p.m. at Drum Point Road and Johnson Road. Police said a preliminary investigation found a 2024 Hyundai Elantra was traveling east on Drum Point Road when it crossed the painted center median and collided with a westbound 2026 Cadillac Escalade.
The Hyundai's driver, 97-year-old Frank Pugliese, was killed in the crash. The Cadillac's driver, Taylor Reinig, 36, suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Drum Point Road was closed in both directions for about five hours while police investigated the crash.
