Two new studies have found that the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine offers protection against the delta variant and provides at least eight months of immunity.
Researchers studied blood from those vaccinated with the one-shot vaccine and tested it against an engineered version of the delta variant, as well as other variants of the virus.
The research found that the vaccine generated neutralizing antibodies against the variants.
The company also announced that the vaccine generated T-cells that offer immunity for at least eight months.
