Police in Clifton are asking for help after two small dogs were found abandoned in a cage on a city sidewalk.

Investigators are trying to identify the individuals seen in surveillance video connected to the incident.
Police believe someone may recognize the dogs or know who owned them.
The dogs, named Donald and Daisy, are safe at the Clifton Animal Shelter, where volunteers have been providing everything they need to recover.
Shelter officials are also looking for a foster or permanent home that can keep the pair together. The shelter says it will cover their veterinary care while they continue to heal and adjust in a loving environment.
