It's been one month since a deadly shooting in Jersey City killed four people, including Jersey City Police Detective Joseph Seals. The two shooters, later identified as Francine Graham and David Anderson, fueled by hate, were also killed.
Ever since then, there has been support for New Jersey's Jewish community, and the fallen detective.
One month ago this afternoon, Graham and Anderson burst into JC Kosher Supermarket on Martin Luther King Drive and shot three people. The shooters were later killed by police. Investigators believe the shooters were fueled by hate for Jewish people.
In memory of the victims, the Chabad Young Professionals of Hoboken and Jersey kicked off a Mezuzah Mission, which is a campaign to make sure every Jewish home in New Jersey has a kosher mezuzah on their door post. The Torah teaches that a mezuzah provides protection for the residents of the home.
"There are those out there that want us to hide the fact that we're Jewish and they attack us and try to make us afraid of being Jewish," says Rabbi Shmully Levitin. “We're going to respond in a way which is the opposite of their agenda, which is to make sure that we're going to double down on our Jewish pride."

Daniel and Victoria Silverman, a Jewish couple living in Hoboken, were the first to have a kosher mezuzah placed on their doorpost as part of the campaign.
The killers fatally shot Seals at the Bayview Cemetery before ambushing the grocery store. It's thought he was investigating a deadly shooting from the weekend before in Bayonne.
The three victims at the store were identified as customer Moshe Deutsch, store co-owner Mindel Ferencz, and Miguel Douglas, who worked at the market. Deutch and Ferencz both lived in Brooklyn.
Earlier this week, an Atlantic Highlands doughnut shop showed its support for the Seals’ family. Doughology sold blue line doughnuts on Tuesday with 100% of the proceeds going to his family. He is survived by a wife and five children.
During a recent trip to American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey State Troopers teamed up with the New York Jets to give Seals' family personalized jerseys with his name and badge number.
Also last month, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation announced it would pay off the mortgage of the Seales' North Arlington home.
The official GoFundMe page for the family has raised almost $700,000.
