Three people remain hospitalized, one critically, after state police say one person was killed, and at least 20 more injured, in a crash involving a tour bus and three other cars on I-80.
According to New Jersey State Police, the crash happened Thursday just after 7:30 p.m. in the eastbound express lanes on Interstate 80 in Parsippany.
Police say at least one person was killed and at least two people suffered serious injuries in the crash.
Other people involved also suffered injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
Details about how the crash occurred were unclear, but sources tell News 12 New Jersey three passengers were thrown from the bus during the crash.
One of the passengers was the victim who died.
The bus involved was an Adirondack Trailways bus, which had left upstate New York and was heading toward New York City.
News 12 spoke with a woman whose mother was a passenger on the bus.
Kasey Mallette says her mother, Marla, was sitting in the back of the bus when it felt like the bus hit something.
Mallette says her mother thought that the bus was going to overturn.
The mother was taken to hospital to be checked out, and is expected to be OK.
