Pre-trial hearings were held Tuesday for five suspects charged in connection with the deadly stabbing of a Bronx teenager outside a bodega last June.
Elvin Garcia, Jonaiki Martinez Estrella, Jose Muniz, Manuel Rivera and Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez Santiago are all accused of using knives and a machete to kill 15-year-old Lesandro ‘Junior’ Guzman-Feliz.
According to police, the men are part of the Trinitarios gang, and mistook Junior for a rival gang member.
A total of 14 suspects have been charged in the killing.
Guzman-Feliz was a member of the NYPD Explorer’s youth program.
Family members say he wanted to be a police detective.
