State police are now involved in the search for a missing elderly man from Stafford Township.

According to police, Bu Quach, 65, was last seen Friday around noon at the Manahawkin Nursing and Rehab Center.

Police say Quach suffers from dementia and may be hiding in someone's shelter, such as a shed or gazebo.

Crews were out all weekend looking for him, and the search is expected to continue today.

Quach is described as having dark brown hair with some gray in it. He is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a red sweater, dark green pants and a yellow wristband. He is also believed to not be wearing any shoes and carrying a blanket.  

Police were asking residents to check their sheds, yards and decks to see if Quach may be there.
