Springlike weather continues across New Jersey, but how long will it last?

Temperatures were between 10-20 degrees warmer than normal today. Winds will change direction and cooler and wetter weather will move in.

The wild swings of March weather are on full display this week - from being 10-20 degrees warmer than normal the last two days and then back to seasonable for the remainder of the week.
Tonight is the turning point when a weak cold front (in name only) changes the wind direction and allows cooler air from Canada back to the area. Typically, cold fronts will not only cool things down, but the clash in air masses between them usually brings clouds and some sort of precipitation, whether it be rain or snow. Not this time. The air is and continues to be very dry, so even clouds are finding it hard to develop. Lows will be a few degrees warmer than the typical nighttime low for this time of year at 41 degrees. (Normal is 33)
Early clouds will give way to more sunnier conditions on Wednesday. Daily highs struggle to get back to the low-50s. It's a pleasant day, just chillier.
A few more clouds will continue to show up for the remainder of the week, becoming more overcast by the weekend. Sunday will bring showers to the region by the end of the day, but it is not a washout. The rain will likely begin after dinnertime and continue through early Monday morning.
