A man from Somerville was arrested on an arson charge in a fire at an apartment building last month.
Prosecutors say Dashawn Holmes, 40, is accused of setting fire to an East Main Street apartment on Oct. 25.
While on scene, prosecutors say firefighters located a tenant unconscious in the apartment. The tenant was identified as Holmes, who was later transported to a hospital for treatment.
Officials say the fire was deemed suspicious and that an investigation later revealed Holmes had set the fire himself.
Holmes was arrested a few days later in Toms River and charged with third-degree arson. He is being held in Somerset County Jail.
