Hardware stores and grocery stores were busy places Saturday as Woodbridge and Shrewsbury resident made their last-minute preparations for the storm.
Lowe's in Woodbridge saw increased business as customers stocked up on ice melt and shovels.
Lowe's also has plenty of snowblowers on hand, but News 12 meteorologists say they most likely will not be needed this time around.
Shoppers also made their way to Ocean State Job Lot in Shrewsbury to pick up snacks and windshield-wiper fluid.
Many people say regardless of the forecast, they decided to cancel any Sunday plans in favor of catching up on chores or watching TV.
The storm is bringing a quick burst of snow that will be followed by soaking rains, and then plunging temperatures later Sunday could lead to rapid freezing.
