Sen. Schumer: Put Westbury’s TRACON 1st in line for billions in funds
Sen. Charles Schumer was in Westbury Tuesday to spearhead an FAA funding fight on Long Island.
He's demanding the agency put Westbury's Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) facility first in line for billions in funding.
Part of President Donald Trump’s 2020 budget includes $7 billion to upgrade air traffic control operations across the country.
Schumer argued that TRACON needs funding to remain fully operational, modern and financially protected.
