Firefighters in Manville responded to an intense brush fire that broke out around Lincon Avenue overnight.

Authorities say the flames were discovered behind Adesa Auto Auction Property.

Members of the Finderne Fire Department were already investigating a fire on their side of the river at the time. They assisted Manville in the response to the brush fire.

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service was also called in, according to officials.

Authorities say crews could not get there with their vehicles. Backfires were set up to help contain the flames.
