A water main break in Edison is under control after water was shut off in the area for several hours Monday morning.
Woodbridge Avenue is closed in both directions from Bonnie Brook Avenue to Meadow Road.
People who work along this stretch between Rutland Street and Meadow Road say water started gushing around 2 a.m.
A short time later, the water was shut off to clear the water from the road.
"Can't operate the place with no traffic, no water,” says Mike Radovanic, the owner of the Edison Sub Shop. “So just going home to spend time with the family."
It was unclear when Woodbridge Avenue would be reopened.
