A Pennsylvania man admitted to committing a bank robbery in Voorhees last year, federal prosecutors said Friday.

Phu Nguyen, 36, of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty Thursday to armed bank robbery in Camden federal court.

According to prosecutors, Nguyen entered the Bank of Princeton on June 27, 2025, wearing black clothing and a face mask.

He approached a teller and handed her a note demanding $50,000 and claimed he had a gun. The teller gave him $1,760 in cash, authorities said.

Nguyen then approached another bank employee and told her to open a second cash drawer. Prosecutors said he lifted his shirt to reveal a black handgun in his waistband before fleeing the bank.

Nguyen faces up to 25 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Sentencing is scheduled for March 10, 2027.
