Officials have lifted a lockdown at Farleigh Dickinson University's Teaneck Metropolitan Campus following reports of a person with a weapon in a parking lot. Those reports were unfounded, according to authorities.
Teaneck police say that two people walking dogs on campus told another person that there may be someone with a gun. That person then reported this to a security officer, leading to the lockdown.
Students and staff were told to remain inside while the report was investigated.
Police say they found no threat on campus. They are now looking for the dog walkers who made the original claim.
