Rep. Josh Gottheimer on Thursday released a report on New York's controversial congestion tax.
The report finds the tax will not only cost commuters more and create traffic, but it will also increase cancer-causing pollution in New Jersey and the outer boroughs. Gottheimer’s report also unveils how much the Metropolitan Transportation Authority is estimated to generate within a year.
The MTA has initially approved the congestion pricing plan, but right now there is a 60-day response period which includes four public hearings.
The final vote is set to take place in April.
