A program at Raritan Valley Community College called "Achievement Center" is helping create a real-life classroom experience for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This program is celebrating its 10th anniversary, as it continues to help provide education for all.
“We have over 187 students in our program. By this fall, we’ll have over 200 students in our program and offer 55 different classes. We have 65 students who have transitioned from our program to now taking Raritan Valley Community College classes and it’s allowed us to explore this population that’s been underserved educationally,” said Bob Hulit, Director of Post Secondary Program at the Achievement Center.
Their efforts continue to grow and expand as the program progresses.
