Five men were charged in connection to the killing of a Hawthorne man, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

The attack happened at Jojos Bar and Grill on Monroe Street just before 1 a.m. on Feb. 4. The prosecutor says Richard Franceschi was stabbed several times in the chest and died at the hospital.

Authorities say that three men from New Jersey and one man from Pennsylvania were arrested. They were charged with first-degree murder, among other charges.

The fifth man, Pennsylvania resident Ricky Vargas, remains on the run, according to officials.

Anyone who might have information about Vargas’ location is urged to call the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Tips Line at 201-226-5532.
