Beachgoers stay on shore in Manasquan as Erin heads out to sea

Lifeguards say they are hoping Monday and Tuesday will prove to be better swimming days at the beach.

Swimming was still off limits despite the beautiful summer day at the beach in Manasquan as the remnants of Erin heads out to sea.
Beachgoers were only allowed to go knee deep in designated areas.
"Stay out. It's a hurricane swell so it's different than a normal swell it has a lot more power,” said lifeguard Tim Farrell.
Lifeguards say they are hoping Monday and Tuesday will prove to be better swimming days at the beach.
