A suspected porch pirate is facing charges after he was accused of posing as an Amazon delivery driver in the Heritage Manor neighborhood in Wayne.

Police say a homeowner spotted the suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Cesar Feliz Moquete, on a home security camera taking packages off their porch while wearing an Amazon delivery vest. One of the boxes had multiple cellphones in it.

Wayne police say they spotted Fleiz Moquete traveling east on Ratzer Road. Police conducted a traffic stop and said he had open packages and the Amazon vest in his car.

Fleiz Moquete, of Jersey City, was arrested and charged with two counts of theft on a complaint summons. He was released in accordance with bail reform guidelines.
