A man who opened fire on two police officers in Newark has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Kendall Howard, a 33-year-old from East Orange, shot the officers in a parking lot behind Van Nelsor Place in November 2022.

He pleaded guilty to attempted murder in March.
