A New Jersey man is facing charges for allegedly scamming Connecticut seniors out of thousands of dollars.
In one example released by police, Walter DeAlmeida pretended to be a relative of a senior and asked for money.
Police say he claimed to be a nephew who was arrested and needed money to get out of jail.
They say the woman sent DeAlmeida $90,000.
He is facing larceny charges.
