A man was killed in Somers when he was struck by a falling tree limb Monday afternoon, police say.

It happened at a home on Londonderry Lane around 4 p.m.

State police say the man was working to take down a tree when he was hit by the falling limb.

The Somers Fire Department attempted to save the man, who later succumbed to his injuries.
